Community Action Multicultural Information Network Service (MINS) is a migrant settlement service operating in the Gympie region and providing outreach to Noosa. MINS has been established for more than 20 years and has a demonstrated record of providing individualised, client centred services to meet the needs of new migrants that can assist with supporting a successful settlement.

What support does MINS provide?

Provides free support to migrants in their first five years in Australia. This support provides individuals with settlement-related information, advice, and assistance to access mainstream services, social and community participation, enhanced well-being and independence.  This can include support to access Government agencies such as Centrelink, Job readiness, networking, Centrelink, Health, Police, Transport office, employment agencies, Housing, Translation services, Interpreting services, AMEP Programs Tafe and others as necessary.

What if I have lived in Australia longer than five years?

Unfortunately you will not be eligible to be supported as a client of MINS, but referral and information can be provided to you.

Can you help me obtain a Visa?

MINS cannot provide legal advice but assistance with completing forms can be provided in some circumstances.
